So for those of you who saw my Lush Wish List post you will know that I was going to treat myself to some new products. I love everything about Lush and yes some people may think it is a little expensive for what it is but it actually does work. I literally walk in there and want to buy everything.
So in the end I brought myself the Damaged Hot Oil Treatment which was £6.50 instead of the H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Moisturiser i was actually going to buy. I spoke to the most friendly and helpful guy in there and he told me that he had been using the H'Suan Wen Hua but when Damaged came out it was his new favourite. I tried it on my hair this morning and it did not really end up like it should have done. You are meant to put the lolly pop looking stick into a tub and add 200ml of water, but the guy in the store said I should use half because my hair is short (it’s just below shoulder length). I think I added too much water because the mixture looked like water with bits in it. But it worked!! My hair was so soft and it made it look thicker than it usually does which is what I was hoping it would do. I would buy it again but not all the time as it is meant to last about 6 weeks.
My all time favourite Lush product is Aqua Marina and of course I stocked up on that. It makes your face so soft and makes your makeup go on and look even better. The bits of Seaweed and Calamine sooth your face and clean it of oils. I usually get little bumps along the side of my face, not spots or acne, I don’t really know what they are but the Cleanser gets rid of it within a week. For £6.75 it is worth it for something that is going to work, iv paid way more for numerous cleansers and face washes that have gone in the bin because they did not work.
I’ve wanted a body scrub for some time now and I was told to try Rough With The Smooth Scrub, I love the name of this one. Its £5.95 for a bar and you can either use it like soap and rub it all over you or break some off and do the same. It smells amazing and looks a little like a Lego brick with bumps on the top of it. I used it on my hands, arms and legs to start off with and my skin felt so soft and fresh afterwards. Along with this product I was told to try the Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner, a little pricy at £16.50 but in my opinion it is worth it. As the name suggests it is a conditioner so you use it in the bath or shower and just wash it off. At first I thought it wasn’t coming off in the shower and I felt a little waxy, but once I had came out and dried myself I was so soft. You do get a lot in the pot so if you used it sparingly you could get about a month’s use out of it.
I also brought the Lip Service Lip Balm. It says it ‘keeps lips supple and crack free’ so I thought I would try it out instead of the None of your Beeswax balm which I love. I was impressed with the taste of it as it has Shea Butter in it, but I do not like the feel of it on my lips. I think for £5.95 I wouldn’t buy this balm again.
So there is my haul, I hope to do more of these, money permitting of course. I have a couple more beauty posts coming up this week so be sure to keep any eye out for those.
