Iv been looking for a Matte lipstick for a while now and when i came across this Matte Lip Cream from Sleek Make Up i thought i would give it a try.
I'm not an avid wearer of coloured lip gloss or lipstick as i usually just wear just a lip balm, a bit plain i know, so i wanted to mix things up a bit.
The colour i brought is called petal, is a light pink and retails at £4.99.
My first impressions was the applicator, it is quite a solid wand where as other glosses i have tried have had a soft and movable wand, but i think i definitely prefer this applicator. However i did find that when i put the lip cream on my lips there was too much on the wand so i used my finger to evenly distribute it.
As i was using my finger instead of the applicator i found that it looked better on my lips, it was more even and surprisingly more of a Matte texture.
I did about three coats and blotted with tissue between each coat to get rid of the excess lip cream. By doing this it also gives a bolder colour.
I also brought a lip liner in a matching colour, i havent really used lip liners before and i thought i would try them out. I got the colour Softly Lined by MUA and loved it, i used it to obviously line my lips before using the lip cream. But i also used it all over my lips as it gave a nice subtle colouring. It retails at £1 and for that price is a real bargain. It also comes with a sharpener on the end of the lid which i think is good for the price of it.
