Sinister two came out last night and coincidentally so was date night so me and my wonderful boyfriend went and seen it.
I am a sucker for a good horror film, and after watching the trailer I was already terrified for what i was about to watch.
I watched the first sinister Thursday night to refresh myself on what the plot of the films were, for those of you who haven’t seen the first one but fancy seeing the second one here is a little overview:
Crime writer Ellison Oswalt and his family move into a house where years before a gruelling murder took place but his family have no idea. He research’s the crime so he can write his next bestselling book. He finds some film footage in his attic but he does not expect what he sees when there is a figure in each of them, who is the figure and what he is doing? The family start suffering and the situation takes a turn for the worse, but will they survive.
Going into the film with our popcorn and Tango Ice Blasts, an essential part of going to the cinema, we were already terrified.
The film follows a mother, played by Shannyn Sossamo, and her twin sons as they move onto a farm in order to flee her abusive husband. However the house is marked for death with the spirit of Bughuul.
I really enjoyed the film and would even go as far to say its one of the gruesome and jumpy films I have seen in a while.
Besides having a permanent heart attack for an hour and a half, there were lots of twists and turns that were unexpected. The way the film started off also with the mother and sons in a supermarket, I wondered how this linked in with the last film, but all was explained.
I would recommend people to go and see this, it was a really good horror film and even if you haven’t seen the first Sinister you don’t need to as all is explained so you aren’t trying to piece the facts together.
