Every girl has mostly liked tried a detox tea before their summer holidays or just to look great or for a special occasion, but with some costing over £20 for a two week supply i wondered if there was any out there which were cheaper and still worked.
I found a tea called Detox from Marks and Spencer's and is £1! i have tried it before but i never used it as a proper detox and just drank it whenever, so this time i am going to try it and see what the results are.
You get 20 tea bags and i have been having three a day, which will last me for a week with two left over which i had an extra one on Saturday and Sunday just to help combat the weekend meals out and drinking.
The ingredients which are in the tea are Fennel, Dandelion and Milk Thistle. The Fennel ingredient has been used by the Chinese for thousands of years in order to aid bloating, stomach cramps and flatulence. Another benefit of Fennel is that it is a known treatment for IBS sufferers. The Dandelion element again helps reducing water retention and bloating, and also helps with the treatment of type 1 and 2 Diabetes. The Milk Thistle is actually a great naturally remedy and helps the liver an awful lot, doctors prescribe it for Drug and Alcohol induced liver damage, so after a weekend of drinking and partying this tea is going to be your new best friend.
The taste of the tea is a little liquorice tasting, something that i personally do not like but it is not strong at all so i managed to drink it.
I have been drinking it in the morning with my smoothie which i have. I usually just put any old fruit or salad that is in the fridge into my smoothie, i never follow any recipes. It helped me feel fuller so i could not finish my smoothie, usually i can and am tempted to make myself a piece of toast.
I then had my next mug 20 minutes before my lunch, this again i found made me feel fuller after only a sandwich. I usually have chicken and salad on wholemeal bread with some fruit for my lunch, or if i am eating out i have a salad.
My last mug i have before i go to bed, this is to let the ingredients work there magic on my body whilst i am asleep and wake up in the morning with a flat tummy.
I never weigh myself as i do not think the numbers mean anything on the scale. I go with how my body feels and if my jeans are getting tighter then i will cut down on portion sizes and watch what i am eating.
I would really recommend this tea. I love the price and it really works, i felt so healthy and full of energy. So if you are thinking are buying a more expensive and celebrity endorsed detox tea, i would say try this before hand and then if it hasn't worked for you then by all means try others. Not all bodies are the same after all.
