Well after about a month off from blogging I have returned. You might be asking why i have been taking a hiatus, and my answer is because I have been so busy with university work and my social life I haven't found the time to actually sit down and write something. I’ve also had a bit of writers block if I'm honest, not thinking i was writing anything with meaning but I made the decision to do a couple of posts a week just to make sure that I'm keeping up to date and not been lazy.
So in the last month I completed Pre Season with Cheerleading, it was the most intense two weeks but it was worth every injury hearing the crowd enjoy our performance. I was lucky enough to be picked for the Varsity squad too, we perform at the Varsity between Nottingham Trent and University of Nottingham at the end of the academic year.
In other news I have started my second year of uni. I do love my course and doing more practical based work has been much more fun than last year was already. We have had to make a radio package consisting of two interviews, I get so nervous when approaching people for an interview, but that's part of been a journalist. In Market Square (for those of you who do not know where it is, Its Nottingham!) there were four Red Arrow coaches which were part of a £3 million investment, i asked if I could interview one of the coach drivers. I did the interview and at the end he told me that he went to the same uni as me and did the same course and knew some of my lecturers as he used to work with them in the industry, it’s such a small world!!
Iv also managed to get myself some work experience with Notts TV a local news channel broadcasting in Nottingham. This is so invaluable as it will look so good on my CV and when i have to get work experience over the summer. It is so hard to break into the industry and be successful but if you want it then you have to work your ass off to get it.
Iv also been keeping up going to the gym, I'm quite proud with how much of a difference I have seen in the past few weeks alone. I never way myself I just go on how I feel and when your jeans are too big for you, you know you have been doing something right. I’ve also been eating super healthy, living off sweet potato, veg and chicken; boring yes but it tastes so good!! I'm also pretty proud of myself that I have mastered how to make sweet potato fries, it’s taken me months to learn how to cut them properly and actually look like fries instead of wedges but it’s happened!
Well I think that pretty much sums up my last month. I hope you guys haven't missed me too much and that people still are continuing to read my blog. If you have any preferences on what you would like to see me post next then give me a comment or a message on one of my social media channels.
